Ampliroll Product Spotlight: Sparks, Nevada - 65,000-lb. Hooklift System/24.5-ton Crane “Package”

Needing a hooklift system/mobile crane combination for use in its municipal storm clean-up operations, the city of Sparks, Nevada reached out to Ampliroll for a 65,000-lb. hooklift system and an Ampliroll-branded 24.5-ton crane body.

In selecting the package, the suburb of 90,000-plus just east of Reno took advantage of Ampliroll’s engineering expertise in general, and its hydraulic crane experience in particular. Ampliroll is owned by Fassi Group — one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hydraulic cranes. Of course, all Ampliroll hook loader/crane combinations are carefully evaluated for use by the company’s engineering staff in the United States.

With the Ampliroll Hooklift System/Ampliroll Body package, the municipality gains remarkable flexibility … and considerable value. When the crane is not required, it’s disconnected from the hook loader hydraulic system, removed and stored onsite for future use. The time required? About five minutes!

Crane operations are just one of the many uses the city of Sparks has found for its new hook loader system — the second they’ve purchased from Enoven Truck Body & Equipment, an Ampliroll dealer located in West Sacramento, California. With the quick removal of the 24.5 ton meter crane, the Ampliroll Hooklift-equipped flatbed is ready to roll on another body for its next job assignment.
This example of a hard-working hook loader/crane combination is just one of many others that have been successfully engineered, fabricated and installed by Ampliroll through its nationwide dealer network.

Other municipalities and companies are encouraged to take advantage of the engineering expertise and worldwide resources of Ampliroll and Fassi Group. For these users, the hooklift system/changeable body concept is a proven way to save money by re-purposing a single Ampliroll-equipped truck chassis for multiple jobs as needed.

For selection, savings and service, make Ampliroll your first choice in hydraulic hook lift systems.

Ampliroll Hooklift Systems are manufactured by Marrel – the inventor of hooklifts in 1969 and first again in bringing them to users across the U.S. in 1980. Today, Ampliroll is the nation’s leading provider of hooklift systems.

The name "GALION" has been associated with quality in the transportation industry for nearly 140 years, and is credited as an originator of the modern Dump Body nearly 100 years ago. Galion-Godwin is one of the most experienced and well known truck equipment companies in existence today.

We specialize in the engineering and manufacturing of high quality truck equipment such as carbon steel and stainless steel dump bodies which exceed the demands of both public and private industry. Galion-Godwin also manufactures under body hoists.

Galion-Godwin introduces the standardization of Zinc thermoset powder coat primer under their already standard black powder coat paint at no additional charge. Starting in April 2012, all Galion-Godwin dump bodies manufactured of carbon steel will receive a highly abrasive and solvent resistant powder coat topcoat over a corrosion resistant Zinc primer.

201-LN #4 stainless steel was added to Galion-Godwin's arsenal of material options in 2012. 201-LN #4 stainless steel joins the already established stainless options of 201-LN2B, 304 #4 and 304-2B giving customers three solid choices for stainless dump body construction.

CURT QuickPin™ No-Latch Coupler | Hassle-Free Trailer Hookup

A tradition coupler latch is a hassle to use. So, the QuickPin™ coupler doesn’t have one! Introducing the CURT QuickPin™ no-latch trailer coupler. QuickPin™ is a revolutionary design, doing away with the traditional latch mechanism for simple, stress-free trailer hookup. Most couplers use a complicated hinging latch that's prone to wear out and become corroded, leading to difficulties and frustration. Instead of a latch, QuickPin™ uses a simple hitch pin to create a safe, reliable, hassle-free towing connection. It's as easy as dropping the trailer tongue onto the hitch ball, inserting the QuickPin™ hitch pin, and that's it! No more wrestling with a rusty latch, and no adjustment or tightening needed. This trailer hitch coupler is fully tested according to SAE-684 specifications. It is available in standard hitch ball sizes and trailer tongue beam widths. It also has standard mounting holes to fit most existing trailer tongue bolt patterns (mounting hardware not included). Features and benefits of QuickPin™ - Innovative design allows fast, hassle-free trailer coupling with just one pin - No jamming or complicated hinging components prone to wear - Easier to use than traditional couplers - Fastens securely with included pin and clip - No adjustments or tightening needed - Lasso lanyard secures pin to coupler to avoid missing pieces - Stamped steel construction for dependable strength - Passes SAE-684 performance testing - Available to fit standard trailer ball diameters and trailer frames - Compatible with most existing coupler mounting hole configurations - Protected by a durable black powder coat finish - Limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts)
